Learn about the New Configurator from the CLO-SET Team!
1) Requirements
Compatibility: Zprj/Zpac files saved on CLO 2024.1.244 or above
2) Configurator UI

Configurator Tab
- On the new Content Page, select the 'Configurator' tab to use the tools.

Object Browser
- View the list of objects used on the garment. Select an object to edit.

Colorway List
- List of Colorways (from original file & created via CLO-SET Configurator)

Tool Bar
- Switch between 'Select' and 'Edit Texture' tool
- Select object to be edited
- Edit Texture to zoom in/out or move the applied texture with a Gizmo tool. *Using the 'Edit Texture' will edit all 6 maps in Basic Parameters and Reflection. To edit each parameters separately, please use the Basic Parameters tab to input specific values.

Property Editor
- Edit material property including Color, Basic Parameters, and Reflection.

Save/Add Colorway
- 'Save': edits made will be saved to the current selected Colorway. Only available for Configurator-created Colorways.
- 'Add': edits made will be saved as a new Colorway
*Please Note: New Colorways created with New Configurator are NOT editable on the conventional Configurator.
3) Color
1. To start, select an object from your garment ()
2. Click on 'Color' tab to start editing.
3. Choose the color to be applied to the selected pattern

- Picker: select the color to apply from the color picker, and click 'Find' below to find similar PANTONE color chips. Users may select from HEX/RGB/HSL options to input the color code.
- PANTONE: select a color chip to be applied. Use the drop-down list for PANTONE palettes.
- coloro: select a color chip to be applied. Search using the color name
- Custom: select a color chip from your custom palette
4. Use the '< (Back)' button to edit other material properties, or click 'Reset' to reset the properties.
*Please note the the 'Reset' option will reset all properties including Color, Texture, and Reflection.
[Color Switch]
Color Switch prepares the solid fabric for a smooth transition to the newly selected color, ensuring it is applied accurately and seamlessly.

How To: Open the New Configurator, and select an object to start
- From the right pane, click 'Base Color Map' tab
- Below the Base Color Map, you will find the 'Color Switch' option
- Please note that you can ONLY use either Desaturation or Color Switch, not both. When one is turned off, the other can be activated
- Once the 'Color Switch' is turned on explore new colorways by changing the Color or Opacity
- Color Switch and Desaturation can be used for all types of objects, except for button hole.
4) Basic Parameters
1. To start, select an object from your garment ()
2. Click on 'Basic Parameters' tab to start editing.
3. Choose the maps to be applied to the selected pattern

- Basic Parameters works the same as in CLO's Property Editor. Learn more HERE.
- Select the parameter to edit
- Upload, delete, or download a new map to be applied
- Type in specific number fields to adjust the parameters in detail
- *Opacity can be applied without the Opacity Map, and will be applied to the whole fabric. To apply opacity to selective parts of the fabric, please upload an opacity map.
4. Use the '< (Back)' button to edit other material properties, or click 'Reset' to reset the properties.
*Please note the the 'Reset' option will reset all properties including Color, Texture, and Reflection.
[Auto-generate Normal Map]
CLO-SET will auto-generate a Normal Map based on the Base Color Map for objects that have only the Base Color Map applied and no Normal Map available.

Conditions: Normal Map will be generated ONLY when the selected object meets ALL of below
- has Base Color Map
- does NOT have normal map
- user adjusts Normal Map Intensity to a non-zero value

- Deleting the base color map of the object will also delete the normal map.
- The auto-generated normal maps will be deactivated when the Intensity is set back to 0.
5) Reflection
1. To start, select an object from your garment ()
2. Click on 'Reflection' tab to start editing
3. Adjust the Reflection. Reflection works the same as in CLO's Property Editor. Learn more HERE.
- Reflection has 2 properties - Roughness and Metalness
- Roughness can be edited in 2 modes - Intensity & Roughness Map

- Intensity: Edit fabric gloss by adjusting Intensity of the Roughness
- Roughness Map: Edit fabric gloss by adding/modifying Roughness Map
- Metalness can be applied without the Metalness Map, and will be applied to the whole fabric. To apply metalness to selective parts of the fabric, please upload a Metalness map.
6) Save/Add Colorway
- When editing is complete, click 'Add Colorway' to create a new Configurator-created Colorway. All new Colorways created in CLO-SET will have the purple water drop icon on the Thumbnail.
- Users cannot overwrite the Colorways from original file. Edits made can only be saved as a new Colorway (with purple water drop icon).
- Configurator-created Colorways (with purple water drop icon) can be edited/saved on CLO-SET.
*Please Note: New Colorways created with New Configurator are NOT editable on the conventional Configurator.
7) Troubleshooting
- Compatibility: to use Configurator, please use a desktop or laptop. Any monitors with resolutions below 800 cannot use Configurator
- Per the object type, there may be limitations to which parameters can be adjusted. Such restrictions will be disabled per the user's object selection.
- For example, you can only edit the Color of Graphic. Basic Parameters and Reflection will be disabled.
