Permission: ALL (applicable to all Contents you have download/upload access to)
Objective
With this update, you can now link the Contents when uploading new files from CLO. Create the Parent-Child relationship between old and new seasons OR between block files and final output to better track and manage your assets.
Details
1) How To
To use this feature, you must first setup CLO-SET Library in CLO 3D. Find instructions HERE.
- First, download a file from your CLO-SET Library in CLO. When setting up the Link between Contents, this original file will work as the 'Parent Content'
- Make design edits in CLO3D (ex. create a new Colorway or change fabric/material used)
- Once the design edit is complete, upload it as a new Content with 'Upload to CLO-SET' option. You can also select Render/Tech Pack via CLO-SET.
- Please note that 'Linked Contents' feature is not compatible when uploading a new Version.
- Turn on the 'Linked Content' option to create the Parent-Child relationship.
- Select the Group to upload the new Content. Please note that Contents in different Groups can not be 'Linked' as a Parent-Child.
- Turn on 'Linked Content' button.
- Select the Workroom to upload the new Content. Selecting an existing Content is disabled when the 'Linked Content' option is on.
- Once uploaded, you can click on 'Linked Contents' to view the Parent/Child Contents.

2) Requirements
1. Rules for identifying 'Original Content'
- The 'Original Content' is always the first file you open in CLO3D.
- If you used multiple files from CLO-SET Library to create the new Content, only the very first file added would be linked as the Original Content.
- If you started with a non-CLO-SET file and added files from CLO-SET library, the latter would not be linked as the Original Content.
2. Rules for Parent-Child relationship
- Both of the Parent & Child Contents MUST be in the same CLO-SET Group to utilize the 'Linked Content' feature.
