Understand the Thumbnail types and rules in CLO-SET.
Details
CLO-SET offers two different thumbnail options of content.
When uploading 3D files to CLO-SET, users can select either the "Default Colorway" or the "Custom View" option.
1) Default Colorway
- CLO-SET Thumbnails are created based on the original file. Starting Mar 2024, CLO-SET thumbnails will be synced with the Default Colorway in CLO3D.
- 'Deafult Colorway' is the selected Colorway at the time of saving the file in CLO3D.
- To change the 'Deafult Colorway' used in CLO-SET, you may upload a new Version or 'Create New Version'
2) Custom View

Custom View is a function in CLO3D that allows you to save a certain Viewpoint.
CLO-SET, supports thumbnail images and turntable images based on the Custom View.

💡 Note: Custom View is available only for .zprj files as the Custom View data is only
saved for .zprj file
💡 Note: Custom View is applied to anywhere utilizing thumbnail features, including
Linesheet, Visual Board, Web Tech Pack and any other thumbnails in CLO-SET.
3) Thumbnail Types & Rules
Content Page
There are 3 types of Thumbnail images on the Content Page.
[Important] All Thumbnails within the Content Page will be based on the Default Colorway of the uploaded file.
Workroom View
[Important] Beginning March 2024, Workroom Thumbnail and Turntable will be based on the Default Colorway of the original file.
Assortment
Assortment Thumbnail is shown based on the Default Colorway of latest version at the time Content was moved to the Assortment.
3) Thumbnail Changes

Change Thumbnail
[New Content Page]
You can change the thumbnail image shown in the Workroom in two ways in the new content page:
- In the Overview tab, click the camera button below the thumbnail to upload an image from your local drive.
- In the Viewer tab, click the Settings button at the bottom right → Change Thumbnail to set the current viewer screen as the thumbnail image.
[Legacy Content Page]
You can change the thumbnail image shown in the Workroom in two ways in the legacy content page:
- Click the Change Thumbnail button at the bottom right of the Content Page to set the current viewer screen as the thumbnail image.
- In the left pane under the More Information tab, click the camera button below the image to upload a thumbnail image from your local drive.

Version Update
- Uploading a new Version will auto-update the Thumbnails in Content Page and Workroom.
- To avoid the changes in Thumbnail, please activate 'Keep the current Thumbnail' option.

Create New Version
- Creating a New Version will update all Thumbnails in Content Page & Workroom View.
- Selected Colorway at the time of creating the new Version will replace the 'Default Colorway'

Delete Latest Version

- Deleting the Latest Version will NOT update the Thumbnails shown in Workroom or Content Page - Information tab. Thumbnail from the deleted version will be displayed. To change the Thumbnail, please upload a new Version or Create New Version.
4) PDF Thumbnail
- When uploading a PDF file as a new Content or Version, CLO-SET will create a thumbnail based on the cover page of the uploaded PDF file.
- Users can click the 'PDF preview' button on the viewer to load the preview of the full document.
- If the 'keep current thumbnail' option is enabled, Thumbnail will not be updated on Content Info tab and Workroom page.
- If the file is too large or cannot be opened due to error, a PDF icon will be displayed instead.

💡 Note: Thumbnails on the Content Page can now be viewed in full screen. By clicking the expand icon located beneath the thumbnail, a new window will open, allowing to view a larger, clearer version of the image.
