Details
1) What is Global Unit Setting?
Global Unit setting is an unified management of currency & measurement units at the company level.
- From the left pane, click Browse > Company, then go to Settings
In Settings, you can configure the Global Unit (Measurement & Currency) on the General Tab. It applies to the 2D Pattern Viewer and is synchronized with the Content Custom Field (Length) and Web Tech Pack (BOM, POM, and Cost Estimation tabs).
💡 Note
Global Unit Setting is applied at the company level.
User with 'Company Admin' or 'Group Admin' permission can modify these options.
2) Managing Global Unit Inconsistency
If the unit set in Company Settings differs from the unit of the file, a Modal will appear, indicating which unit is different.
This modal is displayed in the following four cases:
1. Mismatch when versioning up file
2. Mismatch when uploading file
3. Mismatch when updating tech pack version
4. Mismatch when adding BOM item to the table
3) Unit Synchronization
Unit set in Company Settings is synchronized across various domains in CLO-SET.
In the Web Tech Pack, the Global Unit is synchronized and displayed in the "Overview" , "BOM" and "Cost Estimation" tabs.
1. Web Tech Pack Unit Synchronization
Measurement Unit and Price Unit data are synchronized and displayed, with the price unit shown as the "default currency" in the top right corner.
If the price unit differs, both the "default currency" and the "file currency" are displayed simultaneously in the top right corner.
2. The default currency is also displayed on the 'Content Page' and the 'Linesheet'.
